I recently went on a sika deer hunt with Nanticoke Outfitters, and the entire experience was first-class from start to finish. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and had that perfect hunting-camp atmosphere. The meals were excellent — hearty, home-cooked, and just what you need after a long day in the marsh.

My dad and I did a three day sika hunt mid October. We stayed at the lodge and all the accommodations were amazing. The guides Dave, Connor and Frank are truly artists at their craft and know everything there is to know about sika deer hunting. They made sure all of our needs were met and went out of their way to do so. The action during the hunt was unmatched and I was lucky enough to harvest a trophy stag. Already rebooking for next year! If you are considering doing a sika deer hunting trip by yourself or with family and friends definitely do it with nanticoke outfitters. They are the real deal! Best guided trip I’ve ever been on.

Hunted Sika deer in the marshes of the Eastern Shore with David and crew. Nanticoke outfitters is a top notch outfit, everything from communication to comfort was OUTSTANDING. We ate VERY well, the hunting was elite, and the people were even better! Pops and I made memories that we will never forget. We have hunted all over the country for various species with multiple outfitters and this experience is one I will never forget! I was able to harvest a mature Sika stag on my first day in the field, and wow, I haven’t been this fired up in a long time while hunting. We will most certainly be returning to Nanticoke in years to come! The elusive Marsh Ghosts are the coolest critters I have yet to hunt! Book a hunt and experience it for yourself!

Went on my first duck hunt ever and Nanticoke outfitters didn’t disappoint. They put us on the birds. I still get chills when I think about the sound of the teals wings cutting through the air over our heads. Damn you nanticoke outfitters yall got me hooked on duck hunting. Matt did an amazing job guiding for us. I appreciate the first experience.

These guys do there very best to get you a trophy sika. The blind are excellent!! Food that is prepared for dinner are delicious!! They manage their properties very well for a great hunt! I highly recommend them!!

Had a great time. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and the staff was awesome. They did everything they could to make us successful. The new blinds were awesome with plenty of room and tinted windows so you could let some air in.

No buddy works harder than Dave and his guides to put you on deer and boy do they have the deer! Although I didn’t harvest a stag I saw deer ever sit. The blinds are comfortable and are in prime locations. The lodge and food are great too. I’ll be hunting with Nanticoke Outfitters for years to come!

This is a high quality fantastic hunt. The blinds are large and extremely comfortable,, and they put you right on the deer ! I saw deer morning and night from day one including a really nice Stag. The guides are top notch and fun to be with and the accommodations were fantastic. Already booked my next hunt before I even left. Can’t wait for next year!!! Going to drive Dave crazy with my anticipation!

Repeat customer alert! I already knew we were in fantastic hands with Captain Dave and his mate Frank since we had a great trip with him previously. This time we booked the 5 hour back bay/ocean combo trip and it was even better. From the moment we stepped onto the well-appointed boat, Captain Dave went over safety instructions and immediately won over my kids again. He knew exactly where the fish were biting, and within minutes we were pulling them up! We used a variety of bait and lures, and caught several different types of fish-flounder, spot, skate and others. They were always ready to help when we had a fish on for lots of pics and measurements! Pretty sure we had a shark too but it cut the line before we could pull it up…! We were sad when it was time to head back, such a great excursion and my kids already asked if we can do it again. For a friendly, expert-level and fun-filled trip, book with Nanticoke Outfitters!!

Went on my first ever guided hunt. In this case a two day turkey hunt in the marshlands of Maryland with Nanticoke Outfitters.
Found them initially at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg. Really nice folks to work with. Had originally booked a date then had to change it. Dave was a gracious host and worked with me to get everything i would need. I live in PA so needed a non-resident license. He guided me to what i needed in the license. Kept in touch with me and provided all the information necessary for what to bring, what to expect, directions to the lodge.
It was two days of hunting and two nights in their lodge (Wingate). I arrived on Monday early evening. Met my guide for the stay and setup for the next day. Lodge is a typical deer camp style lodge but has a washer/dryer, full bath, eat-in kitchen, living room with tv and wifi. Some single bedrooms and some bunk rooms. Simple but plenty comfortable.
My guide was Joe. Hes expert at calling turkeys and did an awesome job. First day we didn’t see or hear anything but wasn’t for lack of Joe doing everything he could to get the turkeys talking. It was still a good day. I managed to get a baptism in the marshlands less than 5 minutes into the hunt. Joe did his best to help and reassure me. I survived 😆 (it does make a great story!).
2nd day we went to a different field. Heard birds right away. Joe started calling and before long we had 4 jakes headed straight for our decoys. He brought them in within about 25-30 yards. About then a hen popped out of the woods a distance away. The jakes diverted just as i was drawing a bead on one. It was my own lack of experience that i couldn’t reset aim fast enough. My shot missed. Jakes left the scene unscathed. My shot caused all of em to go quiet the rest of the day.
Its turkey hunting and i came away only minorly disappointed i didn’t get one. But i had so much relaxing, stress free good time spent in the woods.
Joe did an excellent job guiding.
Nanticoke Outfitters made me feel welcome and gave me an experience i had been looking forward to for years.

If youve never hunted the Maryland marshes its a unique experience. Bring a Thermacell for the mosquitoes and some extra socks for when you get your very own marsh mud baptism (ie-fall in lol)

If you’re looking for a great hunt and a friendly atmosphere, look no further than Nanticoke Outfitters! I booked a turkey hunt with them and had an absolute blast! These guides are knowledgeable and have the right stuff to put you on the birds. It was nonstop action even with the unpredictable weather and the properties that go on for days. Highly recommended for the novice hunter or the most experienced hunter and be prepared for a wildlife memory

Had a great turkey hunt in dorchester county with Nanticoke Outfitters. Met Captain Dave Fletcher at the Great Outdoors Show in Harrisburg a few years ago and have hunted with him for multiple seasons now. He communicates well and his guides are safe, knowledgeable and effective. We came up with a great strategy this year and harvested a great bird. He is also very flexible working with me to reschedule a hunt after I had had a bad accident/injury prior to my scheduled hunt. Looking forward to next year, highly recommend for all skill levels.

We've booked with Nanticoke 3 times now for ducks and sika and each time has been an amazing experience! We've never gone home without some great stories to tell. Dave and his crew always do everything they can to give you the best opportunity on your hunt. We mentioned that we'd love to shoot buffleheads and even though there was 5 inch thick ice, Dave and Frank worked hard to break through 200 yards of it so we could make it happen!
The guides are very knowledgeable, the lodging is great, the dinners are delicious and the atmosphere is exceptional.

Amazing time out in the marsh for a duck hunt. Dave and crew did a top notch job and had so much fun making memories. The best guided trip I’ve ever been on in my 18 years of hunting.

Nanticoke Outfitters treated myself and our group so nice. They were very helpful with tips and tactics to help us harvest ducks. We had plenty of opportunity and heart racing moments throughout our hunt. This was my first duck hunt and I am already thinking about planning another outing! I would recommend them to anyone.

Just finished my second year of Sika hunting with Nanticoke Outfitters. Captain Dave and Frank took great care of us all around. The properties have some great deer on them, the blinds and stands are well taken care of and placed well. Both guides seem to know the herd in the area and you can tell they put a lot of time and work into getting their hunters in areas with the most opportunity to harvest an animal. The new lodge this year is great and the food was phenomenal. Making this an annual trip, not only because I’m hooked on Sika hunting but also because it’s a great experience hunting with Nanticoke Outfitters. Book a trip, you won’t regret it.

This was my first trip with an outfitter. Every bit of this experience was top notch. David Fletcher, owner, is one of the nicest guys to work with and extremely knowledgeable. Frank was one of the guides who worked with us and was there for us every step of our trip as well, an all around great guy. While we didn’t harvest a deer, we had a successful hunt. We saw and heard Sika deer, both hinds and stags, got to meet great people, spend time with friends, and enjoy the great outdoors. We will absolutely be going back to hunt with Nanticoke Outfitters. This hunt did not disappoint!

Booked a sika 3 day archery hunt. When I first arrived the high tide and heavy amounts of rain made most stand locations unavailable, Dave was able to adapt and get a game plan together to atleast get us out in the woods. Had an opportunity at a trophy stag on day 2 what more can ya ask for. The conservation is top notch. You will not have time to eat snacks too many deer! Thanks Dave, Frank, and Arron for an awesome experience for a first time marsher in the sika woods!

From the booking process, to the excellent communication leading up to our trip, and then the trip itself we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Captain David and 1st Mate Frank were top notch. We brought our boys ages 12 & 9 with us. David and Frank were excellent teaching the boys and letting them set the crab traps as well as pull them up to check them. We highly recommended using Nanticoke Outfitters if your looking for a charter in Ocean City Maryland.

Captain Dave is awesome with his fishing trips and especially working with kids. We had a great experience crabbing and fishing even though the weather was windy and we didn’t get much. The smiles on my boys faces made it worth it.

I met David and his team at the Great Outdoors Show in PA in Feb 2023, and booked a hunt for Jan 2024. When the day came it was bitterly cold with Maryland blanketed in snow. Despite the conditions and the lack of wind, we had a successful morning with me able to bring a brace of mallard home. The whole experience was wonderful, Dave’s a great bloke to chat with, has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and even cooks a very tasty hot breakfast in the blind. I thoroughly recommend Nanticoke Outfitters to anyone looking for an Eastern Shore duck hunting experience. I enjoyed hunting with David so much that I’ve booked a few days of spring turkey hunting with him too.

Had a tough hunt weather wise but I thought they did an excellent job on the things they could control. People showed up on time, great communication, stands and bait looked like in great spots and well maintained

Great guide service! Dave does everything to make you have an enjoyable experience and does his best to put you on the birds. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the birds and will always answer any questions you may have. I liked how he doesn't mix hunting parties and will work with you on what species or type of hunt you desire. Highly recommend this outfitter!

We hunted sika deer in October during the rut. Even though the weather did not cooperate we were in sika and white tails everyday. No one in our group killed, but we will be going back again next year. N.O.

We had and incredible time hunting with Nanticoke over the last few years. Managed to shoot a white tail with Dave along with a great Tom in the spring. We took our first trip down to the marsh for Sitka deer this past October and could not have asked for a better time. We are looking forward to heading back next season!

Booked a sika hunt for early October archery. Owner was professional and explained how everything would go as well as shared pictures from the trail cams which was nice. Guide was very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area and my quarry. The hunting spots were well set up with the right mix of cover and shooting lanes, and the stands themselves were solid and comfortable. A great hunt overall, and I already booked another hunt for next year.
