We specialize exclusively in marsh-based Sika stag hunting in Dorchester County, managing multiple properties for mature animals and hunting them with a pressure-conscious approach that prioritizes quality over quantity. We are not a “If it’s brown, it’s down outfitter”. Nothing against them, that’s just not how we manage our properties. You can harvest a hind AFTER you harvest a stag but hunters come to us primarily for getting their sika stag.
Stag Antler Requirements
Our stags have to meet the minimum size requirement based on our management program to be eligible for harvest. We conduct an audit with a thermal drone in February and again in August to help us determine the minimum size requirement for our stags. We have had years were it was 3 points on one side and we have had years where is was a total of 4 points minimum. When you book with us, we make an announcement in late August.
Managed Sika Properties in Dorchester County
We currently manage five separate Sika deer properties, all located in Dorchester County, Maryland. Across these properties, we maintain:
- 50 total stand sites
- A maximum of 7 stands hunted at any one time
- Aggressive stand rotations to keep locations fresh and undisturbed, allowing deer to feel more comfortable day lighting
This strategy allows us to hunt the right stand at the right time, based on wind, movement, and recent pressure—without burning our best locations.
Marsh-Based Maryland Sika Deer Hunting
All of our Sika deer hunts take place in the marsh, where Sika thrive and behave very differently than whitetails.
Our stand locations are positioned to overlook:

Some stand sites are accessible only by boat or Argo, giving us access to areas that see little to no outside pressure.

Hawk ladder stands are typically used on new or developing properties when we haven’t fully committed to a permanent blind location yet. Once a spot proves itself, we upgrade accordingly.
